Get your immune troops ready to BATTLE… with this citrus superstar
When life throws you a curveball, you don’t want to be caught with your pants down.
You want to be ready for WHATEVER comes your way… BEFORE it gets here!
And there’s no time like the present to shore up your immunity.
Because as ol’ Ben Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
The LAST thing you want is for your immune system to FAIL you when you need it most!
So, I’m here today to share with you how you can set yourself up for VICTORY…
And DEFEAT anything that tries to attack you.
Already taking vitamin C? Good.
But there’s even MORE you can do, with the right kind of citrus power on your side.
Zest for life
Native to south Asia, the kumquat (Citrus japonica) is an oval-shaped citrus fruit… no bigger than an olive… that looks a bit like a baby orange.
It may SEEM exotic…but it actually arrived in this country back in the 19th century!
It’s a cash cow crop in certain states with a tropical-leaning climate, like California. In fact, the “Kumquat Capital of the World” is the tiny community of St. Joe, Florida!
PACKED with vitamin C and other antioxidants, it’s no wonder that kumquats can help stimulate an immune response when it’s needed most.
But there’s something that makes kumquats stand apart from the rest of the citrus family.
Because, unlike their orange cousins, you can… and SHOULD… eat the peel!
That’s where you’ll find LOTS of kumquat’s prebiotic fiber, which BALANCES the gut microbiome.
As you know, MUCH of your immunity resides in your gut!
The rind (or “pericarp”) is also where you’ll find a CORNUCOPIA of compounds that help REGULATE a healthy immune response, including…
- beta-cryptoxanthin, a plant pigment called a carotenoid that our bodies convert into vitamin A
- limonene, an aromatic compound that helps give kumquats their refreshing, citrusy scent, and
- alpha-pinene and other essential oil-based immunomodulators.
Thanks to those multiple ingredients working together as a team, research shows that you can BOOST the immune system’s… and ENHANCE their disease-fighting activity… just by eating a few kumquats a day.
Fresh kumquats peak between November and March — when you’d be able to find them at your local farmer’s market, depending on where you live.
Eat the raw fruits whole… add them to your fruit salad… or chop them up into a salsa.
Unfortunately, kumquat extracts haven’t yet hit the supplement aisle…
But you CAN find orange peel and lemon peel supplements in capsule form… including those with concentrated amounts of limonene.
To supercharged citrus fruit,
