Don’t UNDERESTIMATE this time-tested ‘tea trick’ for WEEDING OUT cancer
If there’s one thing we know about cancer, it’s that you can’t just pin it down to one cause…
And you can’t successfully treat it with any one single compound.
It took a team effort of inflammation… oxidative stress… and genetic changes to transform your healthy tissue into tumors…
And it’ll take a village to kick that cancer to the curb.
One of the most USEFUL… but UNDERAPPRECIATED… team players in the fight against cancer could be right underfoot…
But you’d NEVER know it if you only listen to mainstream advice!
They won’t tell you about this cooling herb that’s also a detoxifying hero.
It may look a little funny… but it’s hiding a cancer-fighting secret. You just have to do a little digging to reveal it.
Weed… or wonder root?
Burdock (Arctium lappa) is best known in this country as a type of thistle that grows like a weed… and whose burrs get stuck to your pant legs and pup’s fur!
But that’s just the part you can SEE…
There’s something else to the burdock plant… something UNDERGROUND… that’s anything but a pest!
Its carrot-shaped, fiber-packed root is a common culinary ingredient in certain Japanese dishes…
But folks have also used it as medicine for THOUSANDS of years.
Traditional Chinese Medicine uses it to address conditions resulting from the accumulation of toxins. According to TCM theory, burdock literally DRAINS the body of its toxic contents!
That’s why followers of this ancient medicinal practice have used burdock root as a “blood purifier”…
But that’s also one of the reasons why docs all the way back in the Middle Ages used it to fight cancer.
In a 2011 in vitro study out of Brazil, burdock root extract showed activity against MULTIPLE cancer cell types – including bone marrow, breast, and renal cancers.
In fact, according to a 2017 study out of Iran, burdock root can stop the GROWTH and SPREAD of breast cancer cells… ON PAR with conventional chemotherapy.
And other research has demonstrated anti-cancer activity against leukemia and pancreatic cancer cells, too.
A 2019 animal study out of Egypt confirmed some ways that burdock can protect against cancer – namely, as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent.
Of course, inflammation, free radicals, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) have all been implicated in cases of cancer…
But burdock doesn’t stop there.
It ZEROES IN on one of the very first stages of cancer development… and NIPS it in the bud!
I’m talking about the GENETIC roots of cancer – specifically, the genes that help “normal” cells MUTATE into cancer cells (a.k.a. oncogenes).
Thanks to the presence of certain phenolic acids… like the antioxidants quercetin and luteolin… that cellular mutation can be STOPPED before it STARTS.
And with the added value of vitamin C, burdock root also boosts your immune system… so it can fight WHICHEVER disease tries to take hold.
It’s no wonder that burdock root is a CRUCIAL component of Essiac, the tumor-fighting tea from Canada that’s also available as a powder in capsule form.
Also look for pre-packaged burdock tea… which is fortunately caffeine-free… from a high-quality maker you trust.
To make your own burdock tea, look for dried roots (Arctii radix) online or at your local health food store. You can also find fresh burdock root at your local Asian specialty market and dry it yourself.
Burdock root is also sold in liquid form as a tincture… and as a capsule as well.
Whichever form you choose, be aware that burdock has a diuretic effect. So, check with your doc first before trying it – especially if you’re already taking “water pills” or if your BP numbers are a little on the low side.
To BANISHING “mutant” cells,
