Exotic ‘leaf trick’ CHASES AWAY even the toughest flu viruses
You know how it feels when you’re “fighting off” something…
You may not be sick… YET… but you can definitely feel a change in your health.
You’re not 100%… and you’re afraid of getting WORSE.
While it’s NEVER a good time to come down with a bug like the flu…
Now might be the WORST time in modern history to get sick with ANYTHING!
What if there were a way to STOP the viruses that cause influenza in their tracks…
And maybe even make sure they NEVER take hold?
You know how getting a flu shot isn’t a GUARANTEE that you won’t actually catch the flu.
So, it’s time to blow the dust off your teapot…
Because SHAKING OFF the crud might be as simple as boiling some water… and taking a few sips of THIS.
A tropical ‘tea trick’ for fighting off flu
If you’ve ever taken a tropical vacation… maybe to Mexico or Hawaii… you’ve probably encountered the fruit known as guava (Psidium guajava).
It’s a common ingredient used in jam and a type of “paste” you might get on a fancy cheese plate.
As it turns out, the leaves of the fruit have their own unique medicinal benefits.
Traditionally, guava leaf tea and extract have been used by Mexican and South American tribes to balance blood sugar and pull the plug on diarrhea…
And recent research shows how it can also help combat the flu.
It has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties… both of which help beat back ANY type of infection…
And the most abundant antioxidant compound scientists have found in the leaves is quercetin.
I’ve shared with you before right here in eAlert how this flavonoid can beat back multiple types of the flu… and how scientists can’t even FORCE viruses to develop a resistance against it.
That may explain why a 2012 in vitro study found that guava leaf tea showed potent anti-viral activity against pandemic strains of flu, like H1N1.
It even FORCED certain viral strains to SUCCUMB… even after antiviral drugs had stopped working!
As I’m sure you’ve heard, flu viruses can be particularly difficult to contain because of how they mutate… evolve… and DODGE the drugs developed to kill them.
But there’s more…
A 2018 study showed how the glycosides found in guava leaves can prevent flu-causing viral strains from REPLICATING.
And guava leaves contain yet ANOTHER compound that may help contribute to its antiviral action – oleanolic Acid.
In a study published just earlier this year, researchers showed how oleanolic acid made influenza A (including the “bird flu” strain, H5N1) LESS INFECTIOUS.
It INTERFERED with the virus’s ability to enter healthy cells – and that’s how those little buggers make you sick!
Guava leaves are loaded with one more plant-based flu fighter – caryophyllene one of the valuable compounds found in the immune-boosting herb echinacea.
And if the flu has got you coughing, drinking guava leaf tea can help get rid of mucus… and disinfect your respiratory tract at the same time!
Look for guava leaf teabags or loose tea at your local health food store or online.
Don’t worry about getting the “jitters” – no caffeine naturally occurs in guava leaves!
To staying infection-free,
