Vaccine-autism link back in spotlight, thanks to censorship of film

From the Godfather to Al Capone, he’s spent his career playing some of the toughest guys around.

But when it came time to expose some deep, dark secrets about vaccines, Robert DeNiro chickened out – faster than you could day “fuggedaboutit.”

By now you may have already heard the news. DeNiro did a major 180 and pulled Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s movie “Vaxxed: From Cover Up To Catastrophe” from the Tribeca Film Festival, shortly after approving it.

“Vaxxed” shines a major light on the vaccines we’re injecting into millions of kids and the shocking increase in autism rates.

But by kicking the movie out of his festival, DeNiro became the latest person to try to keep this information out of your hands – and to try to silence a former government scientist with a terrifying story to tell.

Not coming to a theater near you
If there was ever a person who could have been a powerful advocate for the millions of families raising children with autism, it was Robert DeNiro.

You see, DeNiro and his wife actually have a teenage son who is autistic. And when DeNiro first approved “Vaxxed” for Tribeca, he said he wanted to start a debate about the causes of this heartbreaking condition.

You know, the kinds of discussions movies are supposed to encourage.

But that’s when the mainstream and the pro-vax media started putting the screws to DeNiro, and it looks like they made him an offer he couldn’t refuse – pull the movie, or else.

Just days after announcing “Vaxxed” would be on the Tribeca schedule, DeNiro claimed he was cutting it. He said he reviewed the movie with members of the “scientific community” (you can just imagine who was in that room) and suddenly had “concerns” about whether it would be a useful addition to Tribeca.

Well, excuse me, but that’s a load of “raging bull” if I ever saw one.

I mean, are you kidding? This is the same festival that aired “The Sleepwalking Cannibal” and a movie about a woman who falls in love with a fish!

But make a film about vaccines, and suddenly getting into Tribeca is harder than winning the lottery.

This was never about whether “Vaxxed” was contributing to the discussion on autism – it was about stopping that discussion from ever taking place.

And there’s a very good reason for that. Because “Vaxxed” exposes a frightening conspiracy that both the drug companies and our government don’t want you to hear about.

I’m talking about the story of one of the CDC’s top scientists, Dr. William Thompson, who I first told you about last year.

In “Vaxxed,” Dr. Thompson spills the beans about how he, and several co-authors of a study on the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine, literally destroyed data showing a connection between that shot and autism.

Instead of warning millions of parents, they actually tossed the documents and sent them to a landfill.

Fortunately, Dr. Thompson kept copies of everything – and his conscience eventually got to him. And the documents he has are so damning that when Congressman Bill Posey saw them, he demanded a full Congressional investigation.

And that story looks to be just the tip of the iceberg of what this movie reveals.

So they’ll be talking about this cover-up in the halls of the U.S. Capitol – just not at Tribeca.

If there’s any good news here, it’s that DeNiro’s decision to cut “Vaxxed” from his festival seems to be drawing some attention to the movie.

A petition demanding to have the film put back on the schedule already has more than 24,000 signatures.

And “Vaxxed” will probably show up on online services like Netflix or Hulu in short order.

When it does, I’ll be certain to let you know. Because we deserve the right to watch the movie and make up our own minds – instead of letting DeNiro and his Hollywood pals do it for us.
