For years I’ve been warning you about the dangers of fluoride.

And for years the feds have been feeding us the Great Myth — that ridiculous story of how beneficial it is for our teeth.

But even if it did prevent tooth decay — which has never been proven — this study alone should be enough to get it out of our water once and for all.

The biggest lie of all

Researchers in England examined patient records from almost every single medical practice across the U.K. And they compared the health of residents in areas with water fluoridation to those living in unfluoridated communities

They found that people whose water contains fluoride had a 30 percent higher rate of thyroid disease – specifically hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid.

And that’s no simple little issue, because an underactive thyroid can affect every single organ in your body. When your thyroid is out of balance, everything else can go haywire.

Now, this was no little study, or just a bunch of researchers in their lab studying rats.

It covered almost the entire U.K., and was a look at the largest group of people to date.

The number of residents believed to be affected with hypothyroidism in the U.K. as a direct result of the fluoride in their water is said to be around 15,000. But that’s a drop in the bucket compared to America.

Across the pond, only 10 percent of people receive fluoridated water. Here, there are millions – over 72 percent of the population.

The researchers also looked at two English cities side by side: Birmingham, which adds fluoride, and Manchester, which doesn’t.

And those results were even more striking. Doctors in Birmingham reported treating twice as many people there with thyroid issues.

But it really should come as no surprise that fluoride can cause hypothyroidism. Because in the 1950s it was prescribed to treat an overactive thyroid. It’s known that fluoride suppresses several enzymes vital to thyroid function and also interferes with iodine absorption.

And the doses that were given by doctors to fix an overactive thyroid are right in the same ballpark as what two-thirds of us are taking every single day!

Of course there could be many more people affected in the U.K. than this study uncovered. It only counted those who were receiving medical treatment for hypothyroidism. And when you see the varied symptoms you can have if your thyroid isn’t functioning correctly, it’s obvious not everyone, doctors included, will connect the dots.

For example, some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism include:

  • uncontrollable weight gain,
  • memory problems,
  • high cholesterol,
  • joint and muscle pain,
  • depression, anxiety and mood swings,
  • sensitivity to cold,
  • exhaustion

So clearly it’s easy to dismiss one or more of those problems with various other excuses.

Now, the feds have been fiddling around with the “safe” level of fluoride in our water for over nine years, and they still haven’t come to any conclusions.

But as I’ve been saying for a long time, my idea of a “safe” amount of fluoride added to drinking water is none – as in zero. And this research is another big reason why you shouldn’t be drinking one more drop of fluoridated water.

So if you live in a community that adds fluoride to your drinking water, it’s time to take things into your own hands and get a water purification system installed in your home as soon as possible.
