The government’s new way to keep us ‘literate’ about medical issues.
The FDA says that 88 percent of us are “illiterate.”
Actually, it claims we’re so stupid, that we have no idea how to take care of ourselves.
Ummm…”Hello, Pot. This is the Kettle. I just wanted you to know that you’re black.”
According to the online release from FDA Consumer Health Information, “only about 12 percent of U.S. adults are adequately health literate.” As a result, “It can be hard for many people to learn how to improve their health due to a lack of understanding of health information concepts.”
Translation: More and more of us are refusing dangerous vaccines (that don’t even work!) and risky drugs.
But not to worry. The FDA’s out to change that.
Because encouraging health literacy “is a priority for FDA.”
So they want us to become “literate” by checking out their web pages that will tell us about flu vaccines and all those shots for kids.
There are also free online resources that will teach us how to buy and use medicines “safely” and even tips on how to use the [useless] Nutrition Facts Label.
It certainly sounds like those FDA folks view us as a bunch of third graders. Problem students who need to go to the principal’s office.
But what it looks like they really want to do is to “teach” us to say “yes” to drugs.
