They’re cheap and easy to make. And college kids eat them by the truckload.

I’m talking about those curly, instant noodle dishes called “ramen.” They seem innocent enough, but researchers are now saying eating them can make you more likely to have heart disease or a stroke.

And they found that was true of people who ate them as little as twice a week!

So what’s the culprit here in this revenge of the noodles?

One thought is that the Styrofoam containers they’re in is the reason since it contains BPA, which disrupts hormones. That could explain why the risk seems higher for women.

Or maybe it’s that these noodle dishes have some really awful ingredients. Things like MSG and the preservative TBHQ.

Or that they take hours to digest. That fun tidbit was discovered in video that was actually taken inside someone’s stomach.

And it went viral with — guess who?

That’s right, the same kids who eat ramen noodles every day!
