Recently, an HSI member named Harvey wrote with this simple question… “Can lupus be cured?”

The short answer is, “No.” With one caveat.

Some drugs prompt drug-induced lupus. In most of these cases, lupus symptoms disappear when the patient stops taking the drug.

With other forms of lupus, there’s a Catch-22. And every lupus patient needs to know about this.

Lupus causes inflammation. Vitamin D calms inflammation. Unfortunately, the best source of D — direct sun exposure — aggravates lupus symptoms. That’s why doctors tell their lupus patients to stay out of the sun. So they end up lacking the vitamin they desperately need even more.

It’s no surprise that several studies have shown lupus patients to be D deficient.

So if you’re fighting lupus, you probably need generous vitamin D supplementation daily.

It’s not a cure. But it’s essential for care.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
