“This stuff is complicated.”

If you’re smart enough to make it through medical school, the rigors of internship and set yourself up in practice, you must be pretty sharp. So when doctors think the “unaffordable care act” is too complicated to decipher, boy, are we in trouble.

It’s not like MDs have a lot of extra time on their hands. But docs have a new job these days, explaining to folks how to sign up for their freshly-pressed health care plan.

Just as soon as they figure it out themselves, that is.

The American College of Physicians recently posted a state-by-state guide for doctors, along with a Q and A to help them decipher it all.

They also get to download a brochure for patients and an office flier with the cheery headline: “Need affordable health insurance? New coverage options coming soon!”

Wouldn’t it be nice if this mess was just that simple?
