It’s probably the first vitamin we all learned about when our moms poured us a glass of orange juice or made us eat that bitter grapefruit.

“You need your vitamin C.”

And, as usual…she was right.

But the problem with vitamin C is that your body doesn’t store it. It gets eliminated within hours.

Keeping C in your system is important for immune response. But there are two other parts of your body that benefit. And they couldn’t be more important…

Your eyes and your brain.

A recent study shows that cells in the retina of the eye need to be “bathed” in high doses of vitamin C. When C levels are low, the retinas just don’t function as well.

And this means your brain might be in trouble too.

The retina is actually part of the central nervous system. So researchers believe that the retina’s need for C is an important clue.

They say it suggests a key role for vitamin C throughout the brain, “to a degree we had not realized before.”

The researchers call this a “surprising discovery.” But knowing vitamin C’s numerous benefits, I’m not at all surprised that it’s an essential nutrient for brain function too.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
