Somehow, I don’t think you’ll be completely shocked by this…

More than half of prescription drug ads on TV are misleading.

Researchers found that about six out of 10 ads dished out exaggerations or held off on key facts, replacing them with opinions. That sort of thing.

Slightly more shocking is this finding… Eight out of 10 ads for over-the-counter drugs are misleading.

That’s 80 percent!

The researchers also estimated that some TV viewers see up to 30 hours of drug ads every year. Can you believe it? More than an entire DAY wasted watching lies about the benefits of drugs

That’s a LOT of “misleading” going on. Especially when you consider that the products being advertised can create deadly havoc when they’re misused — or even when they’re used correctly.
