Statins are the drugs that just keep on giving.

Keep on giving pain and misery, that is.

One day you’re fine. The next day you’re feeling awful. You have flu symptoms, but this is worse than any flu you’ve ever had.

You struggle to the ER. A chest x-ray reveals pneumonia. The attending physician immediately starts you on clarithromycin or erythromycin — two antibiotics that are typically prescribed for pneumonia.

And that’s when your problems REALLY kick in.

New evidence shows that these antibiotics inhibit your body’s ability to metabolize statins. That boosts the concentration of the drug in your blood stream.

And just like that, your muscles and kidneys are at high risk of damage. In the worst cases, this train wreck of drug interaction can lead to death.

Of course, a WebMD report about this warning reminds us repeatedly that statins are invaluable in prevention of heart disease. (Total fiction.) And even the lead researcher of the study says, “Most people will be fine.”

But then he adds… “Hundreds of preventable hospitalizations are occurring.”

Oh sure! You’ll be fine! Unless you’re one of HUNDREDS who land in the hospital with failing kidneys.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
