Maybe FDA officials will have to start following fashion news.

Last year, actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen designed a backpack made from Nile crocodile leather.

The backpacks sold for $39,000. That’s right… Each!

More recently, the famous twins teamed up with artist Damien Hirst to produce a variation on their croc backpack. It’s the same backpack, but this time it’s studded with a variety of different prescription pills.

Apparently, someone got crazy one night with the hot glue gun.

What it all means (if it means anything at all) is anyone’s guess. But this much we know… The new bag sells for $55,000.

It’s a shame they didn’t think to use generic pills. They could have probably kept the cost down around $40,000.
