I cannot believe that a team of government employees dreamed this up, discussed it, and actually decided to enforce it.

You’ve probably heard about the New York City ban on super large soft drinks.

The idea is to “combat rising obesity.”

Really? This is a “solution” to obesity? How feeble can you get? It’s like combating airplane crashes with a ban on jumbo jets.

Ridiculous!

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg told CNN that the city spends $4 billion per year on medical care for the overweight.

Here’s a tip for Mayor Bloomberg. I wouldn’t plan on big savings from that $4 billion obesity budget.

I think he’ll find that soda drinkers drink their fill of soda, no matter how large the cup.
