Keep your veins flexible and your heart strong with this supplement
We’re very lucky to be living in the age of omega-3.
Forty years ago, the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids was largely unknown. Needless to say, o-3 supplements were nonexistent.
Today we have a proven dietary tool that offers excellent general health support — and particularly support for the heart.
Last week I mentioned the clear benefits of using omega-3s to help prevent or control type 2 diabetes.
This week brings news that’s just as good.
Researchers in Australia examined 10 omega-3 supplement trials. They found that o-3 supplement intake did two important things: 1) Improved pulse wave velocity, and 2) Improved arterial compliance.
Here’s how they summed that up in the British Journal of Nutrition: “Supplementation with omega-3 offers a scientifically supported means of reducing arterial stiffness.”
Arteries need to stay flexible to accommodate increased blood flow demands, which reduces heart attack risk.
And now, that’s one less thing we have to worry about in the age of omega-3 supplements.
