As I’ve said before, I wouldn’t get a flu shot if you paid me. But some stores are doing the next best thing by sweetening their flu shot come-on with discount offers.

A flu shot will put you back about $30 this year. But if you get vaccinated at your doctor’s office, don’t bother asking if you can get 10 percent off your total bill. For that you’ll need to go to–where else?–the grocery store!

On a recent visit to my local Safeway I noticed that if you get a flu shot in the Safeway clinic, they’ll give you a coupon good for 10 percent off your next grocery purchase.

Hmmm. That’s not a bad incentive. But over at CVS you can get a FREE flu shot just by spending $30 on select Procter & Gamble products.

Walgreen’s offers the convenience of a flu shot gift card. (And if you find that hard to believe, check the photo here.) But there’s no discount for purchasing the card. Come on, Walgreen’s–pick up the slack! I can go across the street to Safeway and get a better deal.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
