H1N1 is no laughing matter, and yet some humor comes through
H1N1 is reported to be a mild flu, but for those who do manage to come down with it, I’m sure it’s no laughing matter.
That said, this “pandemic” has generated humor – some unintentional, some intentional.
Here’s an example of both…
Recent TV commercials for Lysol disinfecting wipes begin with a nice fellow stating, “With the resurgence of H1N1…” Apparently Lysol products have “been proven to kill the H1N1 virus.” Only thing is, there’s hardly any around to kill. I like to imagine that the following line is missing there: “With the resurgence of H1N1 in our marketing campaign, we expect to sell a lot more Lysol wipes.”
And here’s some intentional H1N1 humor from comedian Dana Gould on Twitter: “Swine flu symptoms to watch for: fever, chills, urge to eat corn from a bucket.”
To Your Good Health,
