Mexico City offers free ED drugs for seniors

Fair warning to the women of Mexico City: You’re now in an ED drug zone.

On 12/1 the local government of Mexico City began supplying free erectile dysfunction drugs to men over the age of 70.

MC Mayor Marcelo Ebrard told the Associated Press that the plan was implemented because sexuality “has a lot to do with quality of life and our happiness.”

Okay…couple of questions…

1) Why age 70? What about guys with ED who are 65, or 55, or even 35? Doesn’t their quality of life and happiness matter just as much as the guy who’s turned 70?

2) Can you imagine how taxpayers in the U.S. would react to this program?

But as unique as government-supplied ED drugs for the elderly might be, here’s the detail I find most surprising: The drugs are distributed at “centers that specialize in sexual health for the elderly.”

That’s right – the Mexico City government maintains health centers specifically aimed at improving the sex lives of seniors.

South of the border, they really know how to show an elder a good time.
