Non-drug treatments for psoriasis

Looking for a non-drug treatment for psoriasis?

You might be after reading yesterday’s e-Alert (“Dazed and Concerned” 7/7/08) that detailed the intimidating adverse side effects in young children who take Enbrel – a drug that suppresses immune system response.

In the e-Alert and the HSI Members Alert we’ve been reporting on the dangers of Enbrel since 2002. And during that time we’ve also told you about a number of ways that psoriasis can be treated without the risk of serious side effects.

In other words: There’s no need for young psoriasis patients to be subjected to Enbrel’s daunting adverse reactions before trying a safe treatment.

For instance: milk thistle.

Earlier this year, in the e-Alert “Lung Power” (3/27/08), I shared an e-mail from an HSI member named Angus. Here’s an excerpt from his message: “I tried the usual psoriasis remedies from the MDs and had no success. Something in the back of my mind (I read all your emails and monthly newsletters) said to me that when the liver can’t clean the blood properly the results can show up on the skin. So I got out a bottle of liquid milk thistle and started taking two tablespoons a day. The result is – drum roll please – the psoriasis on my legs has cleared up and gone away, and my scalp is almost completely cleared up.”

You can read about other effective non-drug treatments for psoriasis in the e-Alert “Surface Protectors” (10/9/06).

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
