Last week I received an e-mail from Gordon J., an HSI member who has a question about a simple therapy that has been around for hundreds of years. Gordon writes:

“I have been researching the benefits of colloidal silver and am amazed that HSI acts like they don’t even know it exists, even though 70% of the burn centers in the U.S. use it because of its unique properties. Please give us some info on this seemingly amazing substitute for antibiotics.”

Glad to, Gordon. Colloidal silver is arguably one of the most controversial treatments in alternative medicine. It is simply water with a small amount of silver molecules suspended in it. This mixture is believed to be a natural antibiotic with possible immune system benefits. Many people use it topically for skin irritations, or drink it to fight disease internally.

As for HSI and colloidal silver, I sent you an e-Alert last October (“HSI Panelist Shares Protocol for Fighting Anthrax” 10/26/01) in which Dr. Victor Marcial-Vega – a board-certified oncologist – detailed his success using colloidal silver and gave his views on how it might be effective in treating subjects contaminated with anthrax.

For more information, HSI members who enter “colloidal silver” in the archives search engine will find 11 responses covering a variety of e-Alerts, special reports and newsletter articles.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
