Mental health therapy essential to recovery from cancer January 31, 2017

If there’s ever an excellent example of the “mind-body connection” it’s when someone has cancer. While some doctors have recognized the benefits of treating the “whole person,” it’s pretty much a crap shoot whether cancer patients get any recognition of those needs or not. And as if the concept needed any more “official” recognition, a […]

If you’ve had it with coming down with every single cold or infection that’s going around, there’s one tiny thing you can do to jumpstart your body’s own defenses. And while this “micronutrient” is easy enough to find, close to 40 percent of seniors in the U.S. are deficient in it, making them more susceptible […]

Nobody is safe when health officials do their dirty work -- time to take stock December 30, 2013

‘Brain damage’ chemical finally BANNED… but not gone for good? December 28, 2021

We THOUGHT we were in the clear nearly 3 years ago. Because in 2018, a federal appeals court SLAMMED down the gavel… and ordered the U.S. to stop selling one of the worst insecticides out there. I’m talking about chlorpyrifos. That sure sounded like good news at the time. The only problem? We DIDN’T stop […]

Recent research reveals a new acetaminophen warning for children October 9, 2012

Autism and vaccines June 21, 2004

There are few things that make me angrier than hearing completely misguided health information broadcast to an audience of millions. And it makes me even angrier when I’m in my car and it comes over my radio. The result: radio road rage.

Are we raising a generation of addicts? September 29, 2001

Do you remember the following commercial that ran on TV a few years ago? It showed a series of kids talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up: a teacher, an astronaut, a fire fighter.

Is a deadly strain of flu on its way to the U.S.? October 31, 2017

It’s “All Hallows’ Eve” — the night to watch scary movies and greet witches and goblins at your front door. But there’s something really frightening going on right now. Something that makes Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller The Birds sound like a children’s story. And it’s not on your TV, but it could be right in your […]
