Whether it hurts when you pee… or you’re ‘going’ all too often…

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) can leave you feeling downright MISERABLE!

There are plenty of ‘quick fixes’ like antibiotics or even cranberry juice

But more often than not they don’t keep the infection from returning!

Luckily, thanks to a little-known, Scandinavian ‘super berry,’ you can finally conquer the pain and discomfort of UTIs once and for all.

Lingonberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) are popular berries found in Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Finland.

In fact, it’s so popular, it’s also the national dish of Finland!

But these tiny berries pack a wallop of antioxidant SUPERPOWERS that target and destroy the bacteria that cause UTIs.

In a study published in BMJ, researchers from Finland compared the effects of drinking lingonberry-cranberry juice daily versus drinking a beverage containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus, a probiotic that resides naturally in the intestines and is commonly added to foods.

The study found that over six months, the daily consumption of lingonberry-cranberry juice reduced the risk of UTI recurrence by a jaw-dropping 20%!

Researchers also discovered that consuming lingonberry-cranberry juice reduced UTI recurrence by about HALF… while the probiotic drink had no effect.

Couldn’t cranberry juice do the same thing?

Well, lingonberries are actually considered a ‘cousin’ to cranberries… and exhibit similar UTI-preventive properties.

And while cranberries are good for your urinary tract as they help keep things ‘flushed out’, as a stand-alone they don’t have as many bacteria-fighting properties as lingonberries.

Lingonberries have a high concentration of anthocyanins—which are antibacterial compounds that help target and remove the ‘bad’ bacteria that can sit in your urinary tract and cause infections.

Not to mention, many folks find lingonberries more palatable than cranberries, as they’re naturally sweeter than their cousins.

The best way to add lingonberry to your diet—especially for UTIs—is to go with lingonberry juice.

Remember, research found that the unique combination of lingonberry-cranberry juice is a great, UTI-busting ‘cocktail.’

When shopping for anything lingonberry, avoid anything with excess or added sugar.

If you have a history of UTIs, be sure to talk to your doctor about lingonberry first before supplementing it into your diet.
