Annual tradition

In an e-Alert dated exactly one year ago today ("More Bad News About Remicade and Enbrel" 1/29/02), I gave you the latest information on the disturbing side effects of two prescription drugs used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Crohn's disease. Aspirin and bypass surgery

According to a study of more than 5,000 coronary bypass patients, reported in the New England Journal of Medicine, the use of aspirin immediately after bypass surgery was associated with a 48 percent reduction in ischemic complications and a 50 percent reduction in the incidence of stroke.
